The project isnt a simple parts replacement type of build, parts need modified and hand fitted. You will need a milling machine or access to some one who can machine the lower and some internal parts to semi auto specs. For experienced machinist or hobby gunsmith the project isnt that hard but I certainly would not reccommend the project to a novice who does not have machinist skills. Machining the lower receiver to install the FCG must be done precisely.
Projcct isnt real hard but it certainly is harder than bulding an AK47 since headspace setting on the RPD is unlike most other firearms due to its locking sysstem. FIre control group was US made by Wiselite Arms. I used a DSA receiver and a Polish RPD kit. The article covers the basic build proceedure and also talks about some of the problems associated with the build. I wrote the article but I dont know absolutely for sure the publication date.
